Meg Wah is training 15 unemployed youths within Fako division, south west region of Cameroon as volunteer ambassadors for environmental protection . After their training, they will work to engage 600 children in 6 kindergarten schools of 3 different rural communities in the south west region of Cameroon to be environmental ambassadors through outdoor learning for a period of 4 months.
Through the generous support of Leopold Bachmann Stiftung foundation in Switzerland, Meg Wah is presently working on an Agroforestry pilot project in Tali1 village, South west Region of Cameroon.The goal of this project is to reduce deforestation and enhance livelihoods. Meg Wah wants to create a tree nursery with 3000 agroforestry trees that will benefit 30 trained cocoa farming families. Elementary school children will function as caretakers of the trees. If successful, this project will be replicated to benefit other cocoa farming families in the Region.
